  • Where do you live?

I live in Aarhus, Denmark but am originally from a small town in South Jutland.

  • Which method / technique do you use?

My method for paintings always begins with pencil sketches in my sketchbook. Only some of these sketches turn into larger artworks built up with several layers of acrylic paint primarily using techniques such as smooth fade and fine details for faces and other things in the foreground, and often masking with tape in the background.

  • How would you describe your style / designs?

My painting style is fine, detailed, colorful, and always calm at the same time. I love combining colors with tranquil motifs - especially closed eyes have a powerful impact on the energy that the finished work conveys to the viewer.

  • How / why did you start with art?

I was really good at drawing early in kindergarten and did it everyday until I picked up some brushes and made some small acrylic paintings. I took pictures and posted them on my private instagram in a story. Overwhelmingly, I got messages from both friends and people I didn't know, asking if they could buy the paintings and if I could make more. Suddenly I found myself saying yes to the requests and my favourite hobby just turned into business - which I rarely consider it as.

  • What inspires you?

In my creation of figurative acrylic paintings, I draw inspiration from colorful cultures, the beauty of our diverse world, and the presence within oneself. My dedication to using colors and closed eyes on my subjects serves as a powerful means of expression, reflecting my desire to create art that speaks to the soul and enhances emotional immersion.

  • Do you have a message with your art?
Through my art, I aim to convey a universal understanding of the beauty in our diverse world and within ourselves. I hope that my paintings can inspire others to explore, dream big, and embrace the aspect of existence.

  • Why do you paint/do art?

Because I love creating and being in the process from the very first idea to a finished result. Then take a step back and look at it and think "I made that!!!"

  • What do you think your art can add to a home?
I believe in the power of art to influence our moods and atmosphere, and therefore, I strive to create artworks that can bring warmth, joy, personality and inner peace, as well as inspire and enrich anyone who observes it.

  • Anything else you want to add / that is important to mention?

Just to say thank you for reading this and to be a part of this journey.
