  • Where do you live?
I live in Antwerp, a city in Belgium.

  • Which method / technique do you use?
All my work is painted by hand. I love to paint with gouache, but sometimes I combine it with watercolour and coloured pencils.

  • How would you describe your style / designs?
I enjoy exploring shapes from nature and translating them onto paper in my own unique way. The rather limited colour palette plays an important role and often determines the tone of the painting.

  • How / why did you start with art?
As a little girl I was always drawing and painting. Growing up, I lost my confidence and told myself I wasn't good enough at drawing. I graduated as a graphic designer and worked in the graphic industry for many years. But after having children and seeing how much fun they had while drawing, I decided to start painting again. I soon felt that this was exactly what I had to do, I haven't stopped ever since.

  • What inspires you?
I grew up in the countryside, so I was always surrounded by flowers and plants. Everything from nature is what inspires me the most. But I also like to paint the little things from daily life.

  • Do you have a message with your art?
While painting flowers and plants I experience a deep inner peace. Something I really need in our busy times. I hope you can experience the same when you look at my paintings.

  • What do you think your art can add to a home?

My botanical paintings are meant to bring more joy, peace and harmony into your home.

  • Anything else you want to add / that is important to mention?

It's a privilege to be able to do this work, so a sincere thank you for wanting to learn more about me and my work. Words can't express how deeply grateful I am to have you interested in my art.
